They have a spike for making a hole in the slate, a claw for extracting old nails and a magnetised, recessed head for starting nails accurately. Estwing hammers are forged in one piece using the finest American tool steel for long life and dependability. The hammer has Estwing's exclusive Shock Reduction Grip moulded on and offers the utmost in both comfort and durability, while reducing vibrations caused by impact.
